It's one half of an Adepticon Team Tournament army... rats teaming up with the Kharadron Overlords of @Sleboda, FOR SCIENCE!! With 31 days to go, I hope to have an update on the display board soon! They’ve ended up as a bit more than Tabletop Standard+ .... but that’s alright ... I like how the skin turned out ... the bad news is that I have to get at least another 5 for Shadows over Hammerhal.... (that will be for another month ....) I've had a very productive week (helped with a bonus days holiday yesterday), the Necromancer has been finished, the spirit hosts have all been glazed up, I've put a red layer onto all the cloth on my skeletons, magnetised everything, painted up over 60 round shields and started work on Neferata. That's in addition to playing a couple of games on Sunday! Phew. Next month's contract is likely going to be edge highlighting on all of the rank and file units Plus a handful of tiny little details that I know I've missed. Might need to bring the skin up a bit (or the photo is a bit ******...) but overall happy with them. I think I will renege on the pigs and start on the Chaos Warshrine to help kickstart my malign portents event army. And yes, that is a dot of silver on the base... will fix it... (You missed the ... ) That being said, some Alternate heads on the models and they would work really well as a fill-in for female SCE. Or as has been suggested they would work well for female Slaanesh Chaos Warriors. (With any 40k iconography removed ...) There was a Slaanesh Force in the Chaos short stories that I could see those being an excellent full-in... Or for SCE ... a SCE Shield on their back. Or as part of a SCE 2h weapon unit... I have a bunch of flagellants, a witch hunter, a warrior priestess , general on a gryphon (in the making) the sisters, an old war altar, and a steamtank. I wish I could say I came up with the idea but I saw an army about 10 years ago in the white dwarf. The steamtank was insane. Also Luther Huss. And it’s been challenging for me, I don’t have all my stuff ready for the 28th (not sure that the Kairic Acolytes will get done) ... but my Shadespire Reavers are in their final stretch! Post up what’s on your table over on he WiP Wednesdays thread as we head towards the countdown to the end of the month! If you’ve completed your contract for this month, post it up in the Feb 2018 contract and show it all off and maybe surprise us with completing a stretch goal model (or two!) Thanks to everyone who has posted up their awesome stuff so far this month, it’s really helped me keep motivated and get these Shadespire models completed ... Turns out I had 10 Kairic Acolytes (which is how many I need for Silver Tower/Hammerhal) ... so I’m holding off on them and moving to the Gaunt Summoner (and Familiars) and seeing how much I can get done on the model today (as it’s a short month!) Got 40 rats, bonus 40k, 12 sisters of Sigmar and some terrain ? this thread is an inspiration really. It’s great to get feedback and that drives you on.
