Uberspoons
Hey all, Ive just signed up for my first AoS event and now better figure out what the heck my army will be. I'm not particularly results driven and will always look to do a fluffy army over a toolbox optimised one. So I get to do the Nurgle Daemon army that I've hankered for since time began. The new plastics are great (where the hell are our beasts!!?) and relatively cheap. I've also splashed on some resin bits from FW and elsewhere. So, sons of Papa Nurgle......where to begin? Tallyband - worth it? Running 2 GUO - madness or genius? Drones - 3 or 6 in a unit? Toads - yes or no? Daemon Prince / Soul Grinder - thoughts? Will post painting progress to my blog on here along with advice and thoughts. kisses on your green bits Spoons x
spenson
You should probably wait until they (hopefully) get a battletome next year if you want to start nurgle. You may end up regretting buying some stuff.

NurglesFirstChosen
@Uberspoons toads are just about my most consistent unit. They play like a faster and more durable unit of pbs. Damage output is slightly better too, but not much ? But yeah, perhaps right now is prob not the best time to start
shadowgra
Toads are plaguebearers 2.0 and they outclass them in almost everything
jondoe297
From what i've read you take plague bearers in 10's or 30's. Unsure how legit that is however. Defo get Horticulous, coz he looks aceballs. You sticking with pure daemons?
spenson
They get a nice bonus when you have at least 20. If you play a unit of 20 you'll lose the bonus after losing 1 model instead of 11. And you get a discount for 30. Small units of 10 also have their use.
Splitbristle
I'm a big fan of the 6 Drones backed up a GUO. He sets off their buff and his spell can heal them back up. Had a lot of success against a Khorne army with that little attacking blob.
cranect
I recently played against a tallyband and a unit of 6 drones and one of 3. The unit of 6 gave my bulls problems but the unit of 3 got mulched pretty quickly so id definitely go 6 when you can. They hit a lot harder than I expected.
