So just trying to figure out how to do this the right way 

 

1 / witchbrew only affects witch elves not sisters of slaughter ?

2/ sisters of slaughter have a 6 + save but a +2 in combat .  Called dance of death.  So the bladed buckler ability gives them on 6+ saves you can deal 1 mortal wound on a 4+ . How exactly do I resolve this with and with out rend being added

1. Witchbrew will not affect Sisters of Slaughter, as they do not have the Witch Aelves keyword, which the brew requires.

2. They succeed on a saving throw in combat of a 6 or higher. So if your save roll on the dice is 4, 5, or 6, this equates to a 6, 7, or 8 due to Dance of Death's bonus (and will trigger the Bladed Buckler ability). If the attacking unit has rend -1, then it will only trigger on a 5 or 6 roll on the dice (which is a 6 or 7 after both the +2 and the -1 are applied). If the attacking unit has a rend -2, then it will only trigger on a roll of 6 (+2, -2), and if you are being attacked by a rend -3 weapon, it is not possible to end up with a 6 (+2, -3).
