As before, the army looks great on paper so if it also looks great visually your really well set for some casual and competitive gaming. Lysandestolpe Posted October 31, 2017 Author Share Posted October 31, 2017 First off, I need to say I am terrible at documenting my games. I promise I will try to get better at it in the future. My list as per previous page bottom post. x3 Priests Bloodsecrator x10 Bloodwarriors x10 Bloodwarriors x40 Bloodreavers x3 individual units of Khorgoraths. His list was mixed Skaven with a block of 40 Stormvermins. -I manage to get a charge with one Khorgorath in my bottom first turn. This bound them up for a turn, he survives with 1 wound left. The Stormvermin uses their retreat in turn 2, which was fun to watch in practice. He retreats forward in turn 2, when he wins priority, to plow the remaining 30 into my Bloodwarriors (bronze fleshed) and one of the other two Khorgoraths. The cool thing is how resilient the bloodwarriors are with Bronzed Flesh, and how well the Khorgoraths cut through low save troops. Their 3+3+-1D2 is fantastic for 80 points. So I tried just throwing them into stuff like his Vermin, his General, or Plaguewheel thing. The reminded me of Ogors actually, but so much more cost efficient. The Bloodreavers were also super well preforming, not to my surpirse. The no Battleshock from the BS just make me not care if some of them dies. at the most it seems like the average amount of models I get into combat with is like 15/40. Which is not great, but its definitely enough to keep a string towards the BS for that extra attack attack of 12" from a chaos totem, plus one more attack from the Portal. That is 3 attacks each. Not too shabby with a neg 1 rend. whatever smacks into them seem to harm me less than I harm them, which is pretty nice. I guess Zombies would harm me more, but that is only because it's technically Halloween... It was a fun game with a major victory for me. Next game I'll make sure to show some better pics and at least a log of battleplan, score points and once a turn highlights. Thanks for reading and peeking in. Lysandestolpe Posted December 12, 2017 Author Share Posted December 12, 2017 My list: Bloodsecrator x3 Priests 3x1 Khorgoraths 2x10 Bloodwarriors x40 Bloodreavers Gorepilgrim His List: Lord Aquillor Relictor Latern holding Lord Celestant x3 Palladors 2x5 Hunters x5 Deceminators x5 Protectors x3 Raptors w longstrikes We played Matchplay mission 6, scorched earth ,and I won by 1 point on the last round. The bloodreavers did great popping two objectives on his deployment zone scoring 4 points total. His paladins ate all my warriors. His lord Aquillor did great in the last round by coming up behind me and trying to score a 5-6 on the last round but failed and got only 2 points to not tie. some pics: Those Stormcast are gonna look fantastic once he finally finish painting them... I decided to go with the gore pilgrim with 20 warriors, 40 reavers, 3 khorgoraths, 3 priests and the secrator. Basically what’s in the pics up there. The tournament is casual, even tho there are some really good players there. So the list should be both fun and keep up well! im supers stoked. Lysandestolpe Posted January 7, 2018 Author Share Posted January 7, 2018 My first game at Defcon was aganst @Turragor and his gorgeous Stormcasts. The game was great with a lot pf ups and downs. He charged my block of 40 reavers with his Stardrake. He ended up taking down a few, but my retaliation of 3 priests and the about 16 reavers with 3 attacks each chopped the beast up into pieces. yhe game definitely took a swing once his fullminators took care of my khorgoraths and he began pushing me down into my zone. He brought a nice range of units and he rode lighting a few times which gave me, a literal run around the board haha, the game ended up as a draw 0-0. Highlight: three slaughterpriests charged his Lord Relictor after a succesful bloodbind and a few failed blood boils. But the Lord Relictor stood strong in the light of Sigmar. I only have a few because the game was so intense as well as fun. He brought the combo of a Lord Aquillor with 6 Vanguard Raptors that he teleported around. I couldnt do anything about that so i focused on the still standing units. His fulminators charged and trampled my blood reavers with his hit a run ability he used threw that fantastic trumpet guy (insert model name). He also doubled turn on me which made it quite hard to play catch up after that. Final result was a loss at 3-2. Highlight: he trumpeted up a piece of terrain that hit almost my entire force (my bad). In addition, I scrapped up two points from him rolling 20 on ride the wind with his lord aquillor. He brought a block of 30 buffed rend 1 warriors with 2 attacks each with spears, that teleported. Now this wouldnt have been so bad had my Bloodreavers been more effective... I spent most of the game trying to chop up his 10-warriors units, his old blood, and his Bastilladon in the center, which i ultimately managed to do and take two out of three objectives which win me the game 5-2. Highlight: my bloodreavers deployed on terrain that once the game started rolled “mystical.” They then spent thr rest of their remaining time onthe board (3 ROUNDS!!!) befuddled and being slaughtered by 30 warriors. Lysandestolpe Posted January 7, 2018 Author Share Posted January 7, 2018 My fourth game at Defcon was against Niklas and his suuuuuper cool Chaos Dwarves army. Man, his army was scary, so many large beasts and warmachine. Luckily for me, the twist card was -1 to all hit rolls in the shooting phace on turn 1-3, which helped my bloodreavers to take down a significant amount of dwarves with them before becoming a pool of blood. I stopped his bull centaurs, bull centaur character and his doombull guy with my blood warriors before praying to khorne to have their skulls torn from their bodies, and Khorne delivered. Highlight: His lawn mower shredded 20 blood reavers to nothing in one round, it was the first time I’ve seen it in person and it was not a disappointment!
