Changeling and Gryph Hounds

There's no weirdness between these interactions right? They work as intended?

If the changeling sets up using arch-deceiver within 10" of a Gryph hound you activate warning cry.

It's not any 'before the battle' setup but at the start of the battle so I don't see any issue. Wanted to confirm.

PS. add on question - warning cry doesn't specify that setup has to be during the battle. Could you shoot during the deployment phase if any enemy unit sets up within 10" of a gryph hound (and you've already got missile units down? I am not sure of any ability that allows setup in enemy deployment zone pre battle start though...

PPS. add on question 2 - Changehost swap is a setup right?

No, because Arch deceiver means you aren't treated as an enemy model. Even if you overlook that, the shooting unit can't target the changeling.

At the start of the Battle is a pre-battle Ability anyway - before Battleround 1 begins.

I'm not so sure I'd call the start of the battle pre-battle.

Anyway, can we say no abilities apply pre-battle? It makes sense to me to say so (seems obvious) but has it any implications elsewhere?

I suspect they don't - unless it's an obvious pre-Battle like Be'Lakor.
