themortalgod Posted September 10, 2017 Share Posted September 10, 2017 So I just got my hands on a few of the old metal Tomb Swarm models and was wondering how everyone feels they should be based? The challenge is they were designed to fit perfectly on a 40mm square base. (For those who aren't familiar the model is a perfect square). Which presents a problem as it naturally won't fit on a 40mm Round. The diagonal is actually just over 56mm which means the smallest round base they can fit on without overhanging on the edges is 60mm, which is an awfully big base for a swarm. Which, I wouldn't have an issue with on the surface, only that it sorta makes them stronger t be able to have a bigger zone control than they are designed to. Thoughts? Malakree Posted September 10, 2017 Share Posted September 10, 2017 Personally I'd have them on the 60mm, if you're really that worried put them on the square base instead and then do some crafty conversions on the 60mm base so that you have a base for the base !
