I've decided, with the new Generals Handbook, it's now the time to start. My experience playing is 0 and I want a quick to paint, easyish to play army. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Welcome to TGA! With no experience, if you're jumping right in, I'm going to recommend that you start with Skirmish. It allows you to start with an "army" size as small as 3 models. And is exactly that, a Warband Skirmish game using the same core rules as AoS. I'm sure there will be other suggestions, so take a look around the forums. But here are a couple of "easier to paint options" The Nighthaunts Tormented Spirits box is a good place to start if you want undead. https://www.games-workshop.com/Nighthaunt-Tormented-Spirits Alternatively, The Stormcast Eternals can be an easy to paint Army. And the smaller of the new box sets comes in Gold colored plastic. https://www.games-workshop.com/Age-of-sigmar-thunder-and-blood-eng-2017 Painting is part of the hobby but fielding an army on the table and getting in some games is a good place to go. xaljorn14 Posted September 1, 2017 Share Posted September 1, 2017 Painting seems intimidating at first but honestly it's a lot easier than I expected. I'm by far no pro, but I think my models look good for the most part. So my advice is to take your time, watch some of the painting tutorials games workshop has up on YouTube and start with whatever your battleline troops are. Or if you can find one, there's always the book that comes packed in with a single stormcast liberatorthat you can use as a test subject for painting like I did.
