Each player must bring an army of up to 2000 points, following the rules and restrictions in the Pitched Battle section of the General's Handbook. Only Warscrolls and Warscroll battalions with a Pitched Battle profile may be used in this event.
It is not a requirement for models to be fully painted but they must be based on either square or round bases (preferably round bases). Base sizes for models should be within reason, but not smaller than the bases the model(s) was supplied with.
Players must register their army with us. All you have to do is bring along a copy of your army list and a proof of purchase (either til receipt or online invoice) and we will give you a scorecard for the day.
Players will have to use the same army all day and we will be conducting spot checks to make sure that the points add up and that your army is accurate to the submitted army list.
For this tournament, we will be using base-to-base when measuring all distances between models. Bases cannot overlap for purposes of piling in and making attacks.
Games will be scored using the victory conditions of the scenarios and the table below:
Major Victory - 3 Points
Minor Victory - 2 Points
Draw - 1 Point
Loss - 0 Points
Players will need to keep track of points in each game as margin of victory will be used as a tiebreaker.
We will be offering prizes for the top 3 players as well as the Most Sporting Opponent and two Best-Painted Army Awards. For the most sporting opponent, every player will be asked to pick one game that they enjoyed most that day. The player who receives the most votes will win the most sporting player award.
The two painting awards are given based on the Judges' Choice and Players' Choice. Please notify a judge if you wish to enter your army into the best painted army competition. During our lunch break, we will ask players taking part in this to leave their army for our judge to assess and make a decision. Players will also be given a chance to vote for which army they think was the best painted.

Cancon 2018 will mark its 40th anniversary and the Heralds of War podcast will be looking to crack 100 AoS players, making it 1 of the biggest events at CanCon 2018.
In 2017, AoS had 65 registered players and was capped by the venue. I think we'll easily exceed!

I am running a matched play event for Age of Sigmar Skirmish at my local club in a couple of weeks time. This was primarily intended for club members, but I have been given the greenlight by @Paul Buckler to advertise this.
The event does take place on a Thursday evening (19th October) in deepest darkest dogging Dorset, so I appreciate it may not be practical to attend. If you are local-ish, within around an hours drive, I can promise it'll be worth your time to attend. Skirmish is a lot of fun and these little events are a great way to play it. You also don't need a day pass from the other half!
Where: Dogger HQ, just outside of Dorchester (Please DM @Paul Buckler for details if interested)
When: Thursday 19th October
What Time: 19:00 - 22:30 (please note that when I ran this event at BLACKOUT, we finished around 25 mins early)
The full pack can be found here;
Thanks to @bottle for creating this originally for the Friday side event at BLACKOUT. We will be using this completely (please note the house rules), with the exception of the schedule, which will all be moved forward an hour and a half.
There are some nice trophies available for 1st Place, 2nd Place, 3rd Place, Best Warband and Best Opponent. The last two are to be voted upon by players.
There are 24 places available and the entry cost will be dependant on the number of attendants (trophy cost divided by the number of players is the only factor). It will be £3.50 at very maximum.
Grudges are encouraged!
Hopefully that covers everything. Would be great to get 20+ players out for Skirmish on a Thursday night!
We also have a painting competition where you can win $500 cash and the Dragon Slayer Axe, or choose to take some of the hobby seminars to expand your knowledge.
Age of Sigmar at Dragon Fall
This is a one day, 3 round event.
This will be played on 4x4 tables.
1000 point armies from the General's Handbook will be used.
Based on the success from last year, we will be raffling all the prizes to those present after the last round. Awards will include Best General, Best Painted, Overall Winner (and more). Don't miss this special event!
This event will run all day October 21st at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL

This tournament aims to provide a testing ground for those planning to attend Winter Invasion 2017 in Croyden, and as such the top-ranking players from Summer Invasion (UKGE) will be in attendance. However, this tournament also provides a brilliant opportunity for newer Dropfleet players to broaden their experience and get used to Dropfleet's tournament setting. All for the bargain price of £6 a ticket!
For ambitious players, Midlands Maelstrom also provides an opportunity to further your statistics towards Hawk's World Rankings.

Battle in the mortal realms over the course of 5 rounds in two days!
We will be using the Matched Play: Pitched Battles rules in the General’s Handbook, including army composition, triumphs, and unit costs.
The total Army size will be 2000 points chosen from a single Grand Alliance.
Battleplans will come from the Generals Handbook with custom secondary objectives for players to score during their games.
We will be using Major Victory/Minor Victory system as described in the General’s Handbook to determine the winner of each game. Each Battle Plan outlines the rules for determining the winner for each game. If a player wins a Major Victory, their opponent scores a Major Loss. If a player wins a Minor Victory, their opponent receives a Minor Loss. A draw can only happen if players are tied on the major objective, secondary objective, and kill points.
We will be awarding the following:Best OverallBest in Alliance - Order, Chaos, Death, & DestructionBest Appearance
