UK Number one and the London GT!

Thats right read all about the thoughts of the UK's number one player... Well the player who has been to the most uploaded events anyway if you don't know how it works it only polls your best four results for the current season and the small one dayer 3 round events like am about to write about even when won don't give many points, my chase for masters won't really get going now until Sigmar 2.0 comes out now besides London GT this coming weekend. Justice Series 6&7 The

GW Heat 1 Tournament Report

Army packed up, accessories too, all in my Battlefoam 720 with the amazing magnetic trays I fully expected it to be an “all the gear no idea” trip so I was pleasantly surprised when I finished 21st. In this article I will briefly cover all my games, the experience overall and my plans for the rest of the season.   Getting ready for round 1 with Tom (left)   First of all it’s been a very long time since I went to Warhammer World. I reckon it was a staff GT back in ‘99 mayb

This Season with Kharadron Overlords!

With my last army pretty much dropped out the meta it was time for a new army but to be honest it could have still been the best army around and I would have still switched to the KO! The models are just amazing love dwarfs, always loved Malakai Makaisson and his airship from the Gotrek and Felix novels and now they release these beauties.  Ironclad, Frigate and the Gunboat Lets start with some painting, scheme wise I wanted this to be more "natural" than my other projects in

Age of Skeptics Part 4 - Scepticism Over!

Very long time since I posted a update on my progress with my army but here it is! I finished this quite a few months back now and have since then played a fair few games with it to. Unfortunately I never made it out to any events as things in JustPlay have required more and more of my time as we have grew (but this has already started changing this year!) the games I got to play in my store gaming nights though were incredibly fun and my love for AOS has only grown. The finished

The Best Tournament Software? Age of Sigmar and More!

Most of my gaming life I have been involved in organising events and communities in our wonderful hobby. If there was something I wanted to do in gaming it was to create the best experiences possible for everyone. I just made it happen and I know lots of people out there are the same, volunteering all over the world, organising tournament and events with some even finding their way into professional events management. If  you fall into either of these categories or are simply interested in the t

Justice Series II Tournament Report and Lists

I really love it when an event comes around for a game I have been buzzing about, particularly one like Age of Sigmar when I know I am going to see some beautiful armies on the table too! This event saw 13 players descend on JustPlay and we couldn't help but welcome all the returning players and few new ones, with people travelling all the way from Leeds and Sheffield. We were extremely excited to see these armies in play, but mostly because we had finished some new fantastic boards and ter

Age of Skeptics Part 3 - Painting and Modelling

Today I am just going to briefly talk about my plans for painting my new army and my current progress. First thing I am going to do is tackle the Night Goblins with fanatics I have 90 of these to finish. I will be painting all of these in one big chunk I don't recommend this for everyone it takes a lot of discipline to get though this many in one go but I find it the fastest and its so rewarding every time you finish even one wash over 90 models (picking up the first one again less so) I pl

Age of Skeptics Part 2 - My Army Selection

As I wrote previously I knew I was playing Destruction and that I would have the Maw Crusher in my list the next problem was what to take with it I started to speaking to some of the more experience players about what was important to look out for and which units are the best currently so I knew how to judge the units I liked the look of. I was advised to consider when picking any unit how many wounds do I get for my points with 100 for 10 wounds being about average. Wounds and Damage are p

The Battle Begins Tournament Report and Top Army Lists

At JustPlay we recently held our first Age of Sigmar Tournament with 12 players showing up to do battle at the store. I was really excited for this as Age of Sigmar has had all my focus at the moment eating up any gaming time I have. The calm before the Battle Begins It was great day with some fantastic armies on display and a great mix with Sylvaneth having the biggest showing either as Sylvaneth Allegiance or in Order armies but I will go over most the top performing army lists

Age of Skeptics Part 1 Introduction

A four-page rulebook, bonuses to your roll if you have a moustache, no points values, all the lore that many of us have grown up with gone. Even as a lifetime Games Workshop fan (and ex GW staffer), I was very skeptical of Games Workshop's Age of Sigmar (which will now be referred to as AoS) when it was released, and for a long time afterwards. The development that was apparent in the build up to the release of the Generals Handbook, which would bring points values back to the game, had rea
